Wedding FAQs

There's a lot to consider when booking a wedding photographer, so I've compiled some general FAQs to help answer questions and some specifically related to my business.  If you have any other questions please get in touch!

When should I book my photographer?

As soon as you have booked your venue and the date is set!  Photographers can book up quickly so to avoid disappointment reach out.  I personally only shoot one wedding on a given date, so once it's booked I cannot take another.

When do I get my photos?

I provide next day* previews in your online private gallery.  These are a selection of around 50 images that tell the story of your wedding.  The complete gallery I aim to complete within a maximum of 4 weeks.

*next day previews can only be guaranteed providing I am not shooting a wedding the following day.

What is the booking process?

Firstly, reaching out using the contact form on my website will begin the process.  From there I'll get in touch to have a chat about your plans and see your vision for the day.  Once we are on the same page I'll send over a quote to your email.  If you are happy to proceed, all you have to do is click accept quote, sign the wedding contract and the invoice will be sent for you to pay online.  Once the deposit is paid you're officially booked in!

I take a 25% deposit, then the final payment is is due two weeks prior to the wedding day.  Payment plans are available upon request if you'd like an alternative method of pay.

Do you offer half-day coverage?

I don't offer a half-day package as I can only take on one wedding per day.  My Signature package covers couples for up to 12 hours.  This ensures I provide a complete service for all my couples on their wedding day.

Do I need a second photographer?

Not all weddings require a second photographer, but here's some things to consider that may mean a second photographer is the right choice for you:

Guest count is over 100.

Morning preparations are happening in different locations.

You want the most streamlined experience on your wedding day.  (A second photographer can really help when organising formal family photos after the ceremony, and creating your beautiful couple portraits).

You get more final images from another perspective.

What if it rains on my wedding day?

The one thing that can't be controlled on your wedding day is the weather.  My advice is to embrace it!  I've never seen a couple get upset when it rained on their wedding day (It rained on mine too!)  You will still get beautiful photos, and your guests will still have an amazing time.  If you are planning an outdoor ceremony make sure your venue offers an alternative or a large number of umbrellas!

How many weddings do you shoot a year?

I take on a maximum of 30 weddings per year.  This is so I can provide my couples with the best possible service and maintain my workflow.
